Union of Shiva and Kuan Yin
by Jack Haas
Shiva and Kuan Yin have entered into a more intimate oneness.
Originally their earthly abodes were separated by a much greater distance: Shiva living on Mt. Kailash in western Tibet, and Kuan Yin (Avalokitsvera) residing in the Potala Palace in Lhasa.
Recent worldly events are the manifestation of these two Divinities entering into a true unity.
This has come about through Kuan Yin moving to Dharamsala, India, and Shiva taking up residence at Manimahesh Kailash, a mere 50 kms north.
Hence the dominant energy of the world has transformed, and is now a sparkling, powerful, limitless, particulate, unbroken unity caused by the union of these two divine halves.
This cosmic union occurred also in my own life, and was played out in various dramas which I either witnessed or participated in. The union also welled up often during meditations as energies which needed to be united within me.
Macrocosm and microcosm occur in all things, at all times.
We transform the cosmos by transforming ourselves.
The cosmos transforms us by transforming itself.
But really these are the same One thing.
