Book: Poems: sowing the seeds: fruition and futility: divine seed poetry

sowing the seeds
You appear to yourself as if with convicted intention: you have a large basket in your hands and you are ceaselessly looking up, waiting for the fruit to fall. But really you are only delaying the inevitable. And you will starve if you continue to tolerate your hunger, for what falls to you is sparse, and fertile ground is a place within which you have never gardened.
Gardener, you are the garden.
An unknown seed is carried at one's warm breast great distances, only to reach arable land and find that along the way, because of that very warmth, it has sprouted, and died.
