Music promoting oneness and unity
I
am a huge fan of Indian devotional music, known as bhakti music. It
is through such music that one can enter into union with their divine self
while remaining fully in the world. It is unfortunate that the west has, for
the most part, missed out on a similar form of expression, although certain
types of techno music are coming close to such oneness. Nevertheless,
western music has not been without its devotional aspects, and there are
some songs which I consider musical prayers. A brief list of these is below.

Leonard Cohen
and Jeff Buckley, Hallelujah
Ben Harper, I shall
not walk alone
Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, You can't always get what you want
Beatles, John Lennon,
Let it be
Blue Rodeo, til I
gain control again
